Skateboarding has always been seen as a man's sport. To change that, we got a little help from a real fairy: Rayssa Leal, the Fadinha, an olympic champion who was once a seven-year-old girl going viral for doing a heelflip dressed as a fairy. Graffiti was combined with animation to create a magical universe in the style of classic fairy tale films, while the original soundtrack from Cinderella was mixed with gritty skateboarding sound effects. The film became a worldwide hit, with several news outlets and journalists sharing it organically, and Fast Company calling it “impeccably timed” with her medal at the Tokyo Olympics.
