10 years of W+K SP — Role: Story, Creative Direction, Design and Illustration

Why grow up, after all?

Wieden+Kennedy São Paulo celebrated its 10-year milestone in 2020, right in the middle of the biggest crisis of the 21st century. We couldn’t throw a party, but we also couldn’t let such a symbolic moment go unnoticed. To lift the team’s spirits, we created the story of W and K—two young, sibling letters marking their first decade while reflecting on the challenges of growing up. Mariana Borga and I fulfilled a longtime dream of writing / illustrating a children’s book, while Andriws Vilela, the Art Director, used this project to launch his own screen-printing studio—Falha. Produced entirely in-house, the story of the book mirrored the experience of making it: keep your inner child alive, stay playful, and pursue your most innocent wishes, no matter how tough the times.

In 10 years, I want to be 10 years old.

I already know what I want to be when I don’t grow up.
