Nissin: 50 years of Instant Ramen — Role: Concept, Design & Art Direction
The legacy of Japan’s best invention of the 20th century.
Well, at least, that’s according to a Japanese national poll, where instant ramen triumphed over the Walkman, GameBoy, and VHS. 50 years of Instant Ramen is a tribute to both the iconic creation and its legendary inventor, Momofuku Ando, the man behind a pop culture phenomenon idolized not only in Japan, but also in Brazil. In 2015, Nissin celebrated its 50th anniversary in the country. And we decided to celebrate with a series of posters that highlighted the brand's history and its arrival in Brazil. Each poster featured unique visuals inspired by old-school Japanese and Brazilian design vanguards.
